As a person of faith, I (along with many and perhaps all the members of TCIC) continue to mourn the attacks on the Muslims of New Zealand, the Easter Sunday attacks on the Christians of Sri Lanka, and the latest violent attacks on the Jewish community, this time on a Sabbath day attack on the Chadbad synagogue in Poway, CA.
I am particularly grieved that these Abrahamic faiths were heinously targeted in their houses of prayer and worship during some of the holiest times of the year.
May our faith, and the diverse faiths of the people of the Tri-Cities, lead us to recommit to a world in which all can worship safely and freely. Let us work for the day when the guns that are used to kill our neighbors are melted and molded into instruments of peace.
